History is one of the most challenging and one of the broadest fields of academic study. It can be very exciting to delve into the past, but it can ultimately become very confusing leading to a “disconnect” from the classroom, struggling to meet the required learning objectives and creating poor and ineffective study habits.
Wallace English can help to deconstruct and teach this complex subject, piece by piece. Being able to fully comprehend a period of time throughout history and then in turn be able to produce quality responses to academic questions is our goal.

Dates, places, events, battles, terminology, people of note and pieces of legislation can become jumbled and intertwined without a clear understanding of how it all fits together.
Each unit, is pulled apart and made into question - answer forms. This allows the use of high utility learning by engaging in key effective review methodologies such as active recall and spaced repetition to reach mastery. During contact hours we work on analyzing, drawing conclusions, making inferences, while focusing on improving analytical skills and improving writing clarity.
Explain Everything is a fantastic resource where novels and textbooks can be analyzed in greater detail virtually. This takes away the need for writing on top of novels and textbooks and allowing notes to be detailed and readily available.
Explain Everything sessions are saved and can be played back as a recording. Students and teachers collaborate together to highlight and go through the material to maximize comprehension. Students have access to these files which are hosted online and can be reviewed at any time.
P R O J E C T A S S I S T A N C E
History projects can be difficult to design and present. It is our aim to assist as much as possible on the creation of assignments that give students a sense of pride and accomplishment in their work.
